Our lives and marriages are the outward evidence of our relationship with Christ (Gal 2:20).  Husbands, you are to love your wives and be willing to die for her (Eph 5:25) not because she is the perfect wife, but because you love Christ and are willing to die for Him.  Wives, you are to respect your husbands (Eph 5:33) not because he is the perfect husband, but because you love and respect Christ.
